Best Poster Award
As an additional way of encouraging student work in energy economics IAEE is continuing the Student Poster Session along with a Cash Prize. Entrants must be a member of IAEE and a full-time student (where a full-time student is defined as being registered full-time according to the definition of their respective academic institution and not employed full-time) at the time of submission. At this unique event, students will be able to present their recent academic work, completed or in progress, to all conference delegates in a specially designed networking session. Posters and the presentations will be judged by an independent panel and a single cash prize of $1000 will be awarded to the student with the best poster presentation
Abstracts for the Student Poster Session must be submitted by the deadline of January 17, 2025. Students will be notified by March 6, 2025 of their poster status. Students whose abstracts are accepted will have until April 11, 2025, to submit their final poster electronically (pdf) for publication in the conference proceedings. It is optional for Student Poster Session participants to also submit a paper concerning the work that is the subject of their poster—this also by the April 11, 2025 deadline.
Posters for actual presentation at the conference must be brought by the student directly to the conference venue and must be in ANSI E size (34 in. x 44 in.) or ISO A0 size (841 mm x 1189 mm) in portrait or landscape format.
Additional Information
If the same paper is submitted for the Best Paper Award and the Student Poster Session and selected as a finalist in both sessions, the student must nominate to appear in one competition or the other but not both. The judging criteria will be as follows:
- Originality and novelty of student's work
- Presentation and Q&A
- Alignment with overall conference theme "Energy and the Economy"
- Visual quality of poster
